About I.M.P.
Independent Media Promotion began in the small college town of Lawrence KS in 1996. Drummer Steve Campbell was looking for ways to legitimize a number of income streams generated by his music endeavors.
Steve began working as a "gofer" for local concert promoter Avalanche Productions in 1992, now Mammoth Live when it was Outhouse Productions in the famous midwest Punk Rock venue.

Working as a salesman and drum instructor for local musical instrument retailers in Lawrence Kansas and Kansas City, Steve worked as a freelance drummer and stagehand on his own. The local success of his band LEVEL prompted the agency initiative after the bands second independent release Copastetic. Early employment in backstage catering, concert promotion, stage work, event security and theatre was only diversified by tutoring music.
Steve and I.M.P. is best known for assisting clients with the tasks needed to carry out quality events, recordings and productions. Steve usually delivers from a mobile RV and Tour ready ride. I.M.P. is currently a sole proprietorship naeed in Hilo Hawaii.
March 20 2020 Covid19 put a stop to everything. In reaction to the pandemic I.M.P. had become near dormant. Service to Texas was halted entirely. Service to Hawaii Island is limited to performance, lessons and very recently P.A. rentals and production/ event staff overhire. In addition to Nagdeo, Steve has joined forces with Artist Trey Wonder, and is as well the drummer for Tides Of Tragedy, " Hilo's Darkness " a Nu Metal band soon to surface and debut. Other projects are in motion.
